In the morning we will drive to the wonderful Meuse valley area passing first by Namur the capital of Wallonia and climb on the the huge citadel.
From there we have a wonderful view of the Meuse valley and its affluent, the Samber River. We then follow the Meuse River up-stream to arrive in Maredsous Abbey producer of famous Beer and Cheese. From there we will cross wonderful small villages as Falaën and Sosoye considered as some of the nicest villages in Wallonia.
Our next stop is Dinant: the native town of Adolph Sax the genius inventor of the saxophone. There the spectacular cliffs and the impressive fort dominate the entire valley. This is also the place where the Leffe Abbey is located and the first Leffe Café in the country was there created. This is one of the best places to get a local lunch and to enjoy draft Leffe … before to have a look on the real Abbey.
Our road will continue very close the French border to discover some beautiful castles and again charming villages. If the time premises it we can even pass by the Rochefort Trappist Abbey.

The Brasserie du Bocq set up in 1858 is still a 100% family concern and remains one of the last traditional Belgian breweries. This dynamic company still uses the traditional manufacturing process of top-fermentation beers with secondary fermentation in the bottle.
