On a land where "The highest mountains are the churches’ steeples", the water doesn't flow and beer was first a safe and nutritive drinks for our ancestors; the chocolate came first as a pharmaceutical product but soon became a real pleasure.

Now both products took a major place in the daily life of the Belgian people.

 

1st day Brussels

  • AM Half day city sightseeing to discover the gothic church Notre-Dame, the law court, the Royal palace, Brussels park, the Galeries St Hubert, Mannekenpis, the cathedral St Michel, the Sablon squares and the Grand-Place with the Gilde houses where the Beer Museum is situated.
  • PM The excursion will continue to the visit of the Brewery Cantillon, a family of artisan brewers who can introduce the traditional production of Guese-Lambic, a typical and famous local beer.

2nd day Bruges

  • AM In the morning, half day sightseeing in Bruges to visit the Grote Markt, the Belfry and Halles, the Basilica of the Holy Blood, the City Hall, the Beguinage, the Lake of love, to enjoy a canal cruise followed by the discovery of the local brewery Halve Maan.
  • PM The afternoon will be for a visit to the Bruges Chocolate museum then free time for shopping or to enjoy the city with personal interest.

3rd day Antwerp

  • AM In the morning the journey will start with the visit of Antwerp city center to discover the Grand-Place, the town hall, the cathedral Notre-Dame and Rubens house…
  • PM the Afternoon will be for the visit of Duvel brewery and to discover one of the faster growing brewery in the country and of course to taste their local products.

4th day Leuven

  • AM This will be a full day sightseeing to and near the historical city of Leuven: first to discover the native place of the biggest world brewery group: AB InBev
  • PM Then a visit of Leuven, the oldest and the biggest Belgian University Town. The loveliest spots are the town's main square, the Market place, the late medieval heart of the town with the church St-Peter and the Town Hall.

5th day Ardennes

  • AM This will be a full day sightseeing to the luxurious Ardennes nature. First to Namur then to Dinant with its unique church and scenery, to visit the traditional and famous local cookie makers and alos the native lpace of Leffe Beer.
  • PM In the afternoon we will reach the Abbey Rochefort with its famous Trappist beer then to the wonderful castle of Modave.

Lunches and dinners are selected according proposals.
Guides and assistants can escort all transfers and sightseeing.
All change of accommodation place is possible.
